Here is a stock that is carved from a very high grade of gunstock blank but unfortunately is from a batch of material that had a visual defect in the appearance of the stock. It’s 100% still a great stock and can look great but it’ll take hand sanding to sand through the defective dye that creates a very faint grid like pattern in the dye/color of the individual veneer layers. (It’s visible in these photos- it’s there it’s just subtle). There is an added benefit of this stock too- it is constructed with material that is nearly 100 percent filled with epoxy and makes it very stable and nearly waterproof.
It also will need final shaping around the tang of the receiver to match the receiver and the bolt notch to be cut. If desired I would be completely willing shape the back and cut the notch to our standard configuration at no additional cost (please allow 3-5days vs same day shipping).
Fully inlet for an XP100 action with a Sendero barrel channel. Will accept a factory barrel albeit with additional clearance. Additionally the inletting is done to allow use of a Dewey trigger also (slightly wider than factory).
Pillars and fasteners are included-but the rear action screw will need to be drill and tapped to match your action.
Forend is 8″ flat bottom and is where there is a good deal of sanding needed.
